Student Learning Expectations
A Saint Theresa Catholic School Student is
 
1. An active Catholic Witness who:
  • responds and participates reverently at liturgies and prayer services
  • demonstrates basic knowledge of the foundations of faith, Church teachings, and traditions
  • understands and exhibits Gospel values and Catholic teachings
  • demonstrates a respect God, others, self, and all creation
  • demonstrates a spirit of service in church, school, and community
  • demonstrates personal responsibility regarding peace and justice issues
2. A responsible citizen who:
  • Demonstrates an understanding of cause and effect in decision making
  • shows accountability for actions
  • understands and practices cooperation, courtesy, and respect
  • utilizes opportunities to appreciate and accept individual gifts and talents
  • respects and demonstrates an understanding of self, others and the environment
3. An effective communicator who:
  • demonstrates active listening skills
  • articulates ideas clearly and effectively in both oral and written communication
  • works cooperatively with others to reach a common goal
  • expresses personal opinions in a respectful manner
  • uses technology to discover and communicate with the world
4. A critical thinker/problem solver who:

  • developing DWP skills to become a self-directed learner
