Admissions and Enrollment

2017-2018 Online Application

When to Apply

Saint Theresa Catholic School (STCS) accepts applications on a continual basis.  Families are encouraged to complete the application early in the school year (October) prior to the school year in which the student wishes to enroll.  For example, an application started in October 2020 would ideally be for the 2021-2022 school year.

Families applying for a mid-year enrollment should complete the application as soon as possible prior to the anticipated enrollment date.  It is very important that this request be made directly to the admissions office so that an expidited decision can be made.

How to Apply

Step One: Investigate Saint Theresa Catholic School

Quality education in the Catholic tradition is the hallmark of Saint Theresa Catholic School as we welcome all students.  As you consider Saint Theresa as an educational home for the applicant student, it is important to learn about our mission, programs, values, philosophy, supporting organizations, leadership opportunities and dedication to student success.  Choosing a school that best matches the unique needs of the student is an important decision, and families should learn about our school from our website, requesting and attending a campus tour, attending open houses, and considering the opportunity to have your child(ren) shadow a student in the same grade level for a day.  During the application process, you are welcome to ask questions, schedule appointments with admission and administrative staff, and seek the opinion of graduates and others in the community who are familiar with Saint Theresa School.  Please let the admissions staff know if you would like any additional information to help in making your decision.

Step Two: Complete an Application

For convenience, Saint Theresa Catholic School utilizes an online application process.  In addition to completing information online, certain documents are requested as part of the application package.  The application is considered complete when all information and documents are submitted.  If at any time the online procedures are confusing or there are extenuating circumstances, parents should contact the admissions office by phone: (602) 586-7490 or email:  Please begin by selecting the "Create an Account" option from the menu on the left of the Admissions page.  Once an account has been created, you can access the online application by selecting the "Online Application / Login" option from the menu on the left of the Admissions page.

Step Three: Evaluation / Readiness Testing / Placement Assessment

You will be contacted to schedule time for the student to complete testing and assessments.  The actual screenings used are dependent upon grade level, but generally do not exceed an hour to complete.  Saint Theresa is particularly interested in learning of a student's success in reading, mathematics and writing.  All scores and results are available to parents.  It is important to note that Saint Theresa does not "cut off scores" but utilizes the information to help determine if Saint Theresa is an appropriate placement for the student.  The applicaton package should contain information about any testing / assessment accommodations that are requested.

Step Four: Admission Decision and Enrollment

Saint Theresa makes every effort to let families know of the admission decision as soon as possible.  If an offer to attend Saint Theresa is extended to the student, you will be contacted by email with instructions for completing the enrollment process online.  The school makes every effort to obtain necessary documents and information on an "as needed" timeframe, so it is likely that additional documents and completed forms will be part of the enrollment package.  Final enrollment is contingent upon receipt of necessary health forms, tuition payment agreements and other information.

Step Five:  Tuition Agreement

Those who are financially responsible for payment of tuition will be asked to create a new account and complete the tuition agreement on FACTS, the tuition management program for Saint Theresa Catholic School, located via, home page under the News column. When you click on it, it will take you to the FACTS Saint Theresa School page to set up your personal payment information and complete the tuition agreement.

We are very fortunatate in the State of Arizona to have tax credit tuition support available.  All families, regardless of income, can benefit from tax credit tuition support.  As part of the enrollment procedures, parents will be asked to complete applications to appropriate STO [Student Tuition Organizations] to help insure maximum support of tuition payments.  Throughout the application process, parents should learn about STOs and how they might qualify for tuition assistance.

Step Six: Final Review of Enrollment

After completing the set-up of your account with FACTS and applying to appropraite STOs, please return to the online enrollment website pages and follow the final directions for submitting your enrollment packet.
